It looks like Apple and Samsung are having the same idea. We have been hearing a lot about a rumored iPad mini, an idea that has dated more than two months ago. Now, the rumors are everything but dead, as blogs around the world 'confirm' the iPad mini rumor. It will include a 7.85 inch non retina display (maybe) and a 5MP camera. It is also rumored the iPad mini will outshine the current iPad, whatever that means.
Now Samsung confirms the rumor of a Samsung Galaxy 3 Mini. Mini? Samsung says that it will eventually release a 4 inch smartphone (is that mini?). "Some say it is an entry level device, but we call it a mini." Samsung mobile chief JK Shin says. Unfortunately that means we have to speculate.
According to the Verge, they say it will not be entry level at all, that it matches the current Samsung S3's specs. However, according to German technology site mobile geeks, they said the S3 'mini' will have a screen resolution of 800x480 pixels, a rear 5MP camera, 16GB of flash memory and an expandable microSD card. Also said is that a 1GHz dual-core STE U8420 chip will power the Samsung S3 mini. The site also speculates it will come with Android 4.1, or Jelly Bean.
What do you think? I am an Apple user, I don't care much. How about you guys? (Samuel Vedrik - Kontributor Bhinneka Post)
