Several sites have mentioned the upcoming release of a new iPad Mini by October, most likely introduced as Apple's famous "one more thing" quote, possibly a IGZO 7 to 8 inch non retina display. This seems like a great strategy for Apple, as the battle of the low-end tablet is ripening.
Amazon is first to enter the competition with the Kindle Fire, and Google with its newly released Nexus 7 tablet. This would be a nightmare for both Amazon and Google, as the iPad is gaining popularity, and a new, budget-tight iPad will increase tablet domination.
If this is true, Apple could dominate both sides of the war, with the new iPad's retina display (Apple calls it resolutionary) as a top notch high-end tablet, while a smaller iPad can dominate the low-end side.
A report says that the iPad Mini will have 8 GB of memory, and priced at $299. Also reported is that Apple will be likely to kill off the iPad 2 to make room for this iPad. What do you think about this? Would buy one if it was real? (Samuel Vedrik - Kontributor Bhinneka Post)
