Just a few days ago a company sued Apple, asking for a whopping amount of money, just for a very general patent, putting earphones on the iPhone's packaging. Yes, really. The culprit is intelligent smart phones concepts (I think they are nowhere near intelligent). This really showed the patent office is just so broken. This company, for a side note, makes nothing at all, and makes a profit by suing other companies off basic patents. They even sometimes won.
Apple got a new win:
A few days ago in Netherlands Samsung got a huge sting. The court found Samsung guilty of android 2.2.1 or higher infringes apple's patents. And when they refuse to agree to this conclusion, the judge banned the sales of them, plus they must tell Apple its profits from June 27, 2011, to determine the damages, if they fail to do so, they must pay $129k until they do. Huge sting.
This is getting sick already. So many patents flinging across the court. What do you think? Comment below
