These are no nonsense heads with robust capacity, but with minimal weight and elegant simplicity. They excel as ground-level macho tools, but also as super light heads for backpacking, travel, and top use.- The new BH-30 ballhead has a beefy T-lever to lock ball articulation and an independent pan lock knob to control the panning base. Ball diameter is 30mm
- The panning base of the BH-30 ballhead is laser engraved in 2.5 degrees increments from 0-360 degrees.
- The T-lever on head is longer on one end to help you lock the ball down solid. It is spring-loaded ; simply P-U-L-L it out to reposition the lever to allow it to clear wider tripod platforms

- 30mm diameter ball is hollow.
- Single drop notch.
- Knob and lever are captive and uniquely shaped.
- Main locking lever is springloaded; pull out to reposition in 60-degree increments. Lever freely clears tripod platform.
- Exclusive drum & symmetrical progressive band brake securely locks panning base.
- Panning base is laser-engraved at 2.5 degrees intervals, zero to 360-degrees.
- All components are either anodized aluminum or stainless steel for years of corrosion-free performance.
- A note about choosing the BH-30 LR II ballhead: The clamp that comes installed on this ballhead is our full-size B2 AS II clamp. This clamp is larger than the clamp that comes installed on the BH-30 LR ballhead. You will experience clearance issues when using the drop notch. The larger B2 AS II clamp cannot freely clear the tripod platform because the head itself has such a low profile. This is not an issue if you only use L-plates, but we strongly urge you to choose the BH-30 LR ballhead instead of the BH-30 LR II ballhead if you use conventional body plates.
