It looks a lot alike it's father, only a bit thicker. The same home button, mute/rotate lock switch, volume up and down, and the sleep/wake button, and of course the big beautiful screen. It makes sense though, apple says it needs to rise the screen a bit for the retina display. The extra weight does give a little arm strain if you are holding it for a movie marathon, but nothing to big. It is still really thin.
The key feature for the new iPad. Apple calls it resolutionary, with that gorgeous retina display. It really is! The 2048x1536 pixels adds up to 3.1 million pixels, amd up to 264 ppi. This is the world's largest display on a mobile screen. The A5X chip really is a powerhouse, battery life is still maintained. However, some games (N.O.V.A 3, my personal favorite) will have lack of effects in trade for the high-res display. While it is powerful, the A5X chip is not that powerful.
The camera here is significantly improved, getting a 5 MP iSight camera, an upgrade from the iPad 2's 0.7 MP camera ( or no camera at all). 1080p HD video recording also sweetens the deal. The front camera gets a small upgrade, although it is still not the best camera choice. Face recognition also helps a lot.
Battery life is impressive, considering the retina display. However, if all the features are on, the battery is pretty low. I suggest the Carat app, it helps detect bugs on your iPad. Still, 6 hours of heavy gaming is impressive.
The new iPad gets Wi-Fi powers, 3G, 4G LTE and Bluetooth 4.0 (still no NFC). Sadly Indonesia does not get 4G yet (tell me in the comments if they did). From my experience the 3G is fast enough to browse the web if you don't get access to a hotspot.
